Deputy Manager – Purchasing Project Management

About the role

The role is responsible for end‑to‑end project management of purchasing activities for Common Rail Pumps and CRR products. It acts as the primary liaison between the plant, suppliers and business units to ensure budget, capacity and delivery targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the window person to the plant (BidP) for series support, budget and MAT targets.
• Manage customer projects and change management initiatives.
• Deliver MAT targets for PDCL447, PDCL448 and PDCL449.
• Oversee supplier capacity to support order blasts and AVR from customers.
• Collaborate with the plant on quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Interface with BU (DC) in the PS and PUR organization.
• Represent purchasing in SE teams and coordinate work with suppliers.
• Organise technical supplier discussions and workshops.
• Lead RPP projects, including idea‑generation workshops, planning and execution.
• Participate actively in Agile MAT / MATriX teams.
• Coordinate supplier tooling budget and follow‑on tool ordering with plant CTG.
• Support IPN projects for global plants and new cost enquiries.
• Process and execute Supplier Initiated Change Requests (SICR).
• Drive implementation of digital tools and ensure compliance requirements are met.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial or Production Engineering (master’s degree preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing with project‑management responsibilities, preferably with global exposure.
• Knowledge of German language is a plus.
