Corporate Attorney – Legal Center of Excellence

About the role

IBM is seeking an experienced Attorney to join its Legal Center of Excellence in Bangalore. You will work closely with global lawyers and business teams, providing legal guidance across a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Support early‑stage commercial engagements, including distribution agreements, M&A transactions and cloud services contracts.
• Advise procurement, real estate, HR and finance on regulatory compliance, contractual disputes, litigation, IP, privacy and cybersecurity issues.
• Draft, review and negotiate IT contracts with government and commercial entities.
• Contribute to process‑improvement initiatives within the Legal CoE.

Required profile

• Qualified to practice law in India.
• 4–8 years of legal experience in‑house or at a law firm.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with decreasing supervision.
• Strong integrity and ethical conduct.

Required skills

• IT contract negotiation (services, software, cloud solutions).
• Privacy and cybersecurity law.
• Intellectual property law.
• Regulatory compliance expertise.
