Boiler Design Engineer

About the role

The Boiler Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and detailed engineering of oil and gas fired boilers. Working from our Pune office, you will collaborate with sales, manufacturing and supply teams to deliver cost‑effective, compliant boiler solutions for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and detail complete boiler equipment systems and balance‑of‑plant components.
• Prepare specifications, select appropriate materials, and generate engineering calculations for strength, force, and thermal transfer.
• Create and manage BOMs, drawings, and vendor evaluations.
• Design pressure and non‑pressure parts, including combustors, fans, economisers, WPH, chimneys, piping and ducting.
• Ensure compliance with IBR codes and relevant pressure‑part regulations.
• Coordinate with sales, manufacturing, and supply functions to meet order timelines.
• Control job costs by specifying cost‑effective designs and minimizing labor.
• Support customers during concept, design development, and site validation phases.

Required profile

• B.E. or M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Machine Design or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in oil & gas or waste‑heat fired boiler engineering and design.
• Good knowledge of Companies Act, Indian Contract Act and FEMA.
• Strong drafting skills and a problem‑solving attitude.
