Associate Data Scientist

About the role

Philips is seeking an Associate Data Scientist to design, build, and fine‑tune Generative AI models for product use cases. The role involves working with both structured and unstructured data and collaborating with engineering teams to bring AI solutions into production, including embedded and edge environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Generative AI models such as large language models, vision‑language models, and diffusion models.
• Apply prompt engineering, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, vector databases, and embeddings.
• Track experiments using tools like MLflow and Weights & Biases.
• Work with traditional machine‑learning and deep‑learning techniques on image and text datasets.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI models into production systems and edge devices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 5 years with a Master’s degree in data analytics, data modeling or equivalent.
• Hands‑on expertise in large language models and prompt engineering.
