Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in achieving sales and KPI targets while delivering exceptional customer service. You will act as a brand ambassador, mentor team members, and ensure smooth store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor store sales, KPI and individual performance targets and take ownership of meeting or exceeding them.
• Identify improvement opportunities and communicate suggestions to store management.
• Model and train team members on customer‑service excellence and brand values.
• Provide guidance on complex customer situations and act as a resource for retail professionals.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and in‑store communications.
• Process merchandise deliveries, replenish fixtures, and ensure full product representation on the sales floor.
• Execute cash register transactions quickly and accurately.
• Minimize loss in stockroom and sales floor and uphold safety procedures.
• Collaborate respectfully with colleagues and support teammates as needed.
• Complete required training programs and seek coaching for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• High school education (mandatory).
• Minimum 6 months of experience in a sports or fashion retail environment with a focus on sales and product knowledge.
• Strong numeracy, literacy and advanced verbal communication abilities.
