Assistant Manufacturing Manager – Shift In-charge

About the role

The Assistant Manufacturing Manager – Shift In‑charge leads end‑to‑end production operations during the assigned shift. The role ensures safe, efficient, and cost‑effective manufacturing of high‑quality products while meeting production targets and adhering to quality, food‑safety and EHS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the production plan, achieve shift targets and ensure compliance with quality, food‑safety and hygiene standards.
• Optimize manpower, machine utilization and production efficiencies to maximize output and minimise losses.
• Minimise downtime by driving timely troubleshooting, corrective actions and equipment maintenance.
• Coordinate machine, line and SKU planning with the Production Manager based on capacity and dispatch priorities.
• Monitor performance, analyse operational data and implement improvement actions.
• Complete shift closing activities including stock verification, production reconciliation and accurate documentation.
• Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, GMP, EHS and PepsiCo operating procedures.
• Collaborate with Stores, Engineering, Quality, Dispatch, Agro, Planning and HR to guarantee uninterrupted production.
• Lead, coach and develop shift teams, allocate manpower based on priorities and drive employee engagement.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading shop‑floor teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders and manage shift‑level resources.
• Strong focus on discipline, communication and continuous improvement.
• Capability to support employee training and capability development.
