Assistant Manager – Graphic Design (Higher Education)

About the role

upGrad is seeking a highly creative and detail‑oriented Assistant Manager – Graphic Design to lead visual communication for its Higher Education marketing initiatives. The role blends design expertise with project management to deliver compelling digital and offline assets that support brand and business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualise and produce visual assets for campaigns, social media, websites, email, presentations, ads and print collateral.
• Develop creative concepts that align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
• Mentor and guide junior graphic designers, review deliverables and ensure high creative standards.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks to meet timelines and quality standards.
• Participate in creative planning, brainstorming and campaign strategy discussions.
• Stay updated on industry trends, AI‑powered creative workflows and emerging design technologies.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and output quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Multimedia Design or a related field.
• 3–4 years of graphic design experience, preferably in marketing, advertising, edtech, SaaS or a digital‑first environment.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating branding, campaign design and visual storytelling.
• Experience leading or mentoring designers is preferred.
