Lead User Interface (UI) Designer

About the role

Collabera is seeking a Lead User Interface (UI) Designer to guide and inspire a creative team while supporting global business partners on a day‑to‑day basis. The role combines hands‑on design work with leadership, ensuring high‑quality, user‑centered digital experiences across multiple platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a creative team, fostering strong communication and collaboration with global partners.
• Manage multiple design projects, delivering prototypes and supporting usability testing.
• Advocate for the user by grounding ideas in industry best practices, research, and customer insights.
• Oversee outsourced agency work to maintain design standards, brand consistency, and quality.
• Source, secure, and manage a pool of freelance UX designers for overflow and ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of digital agency or client‑side experience as a design leader.
• 3‑4 years of experience mentoring and inspiring creative talent.
• Strong negotiation and relationship‑management skills, able to influence without direct authority.
• Vision and passion for the evolution of interactive design, with a desire to stay current on trends.
