Accountant – Retail Finance (Thiruvananthapuram)

About the role

Style PLUS is seeking a full‑time Accountant to join its finance team at the flagship store in Thiruvananthapuram. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day financial operations of a large retail environment, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, timely reporting, and compliance with tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger entries, perform bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare, review and analyse financial statements, cash‑flow reports and budgeting forecasts for the retail business.
• Ensure accurate inventory‑related financial records and support periodic stock audits.
• Coordinate with external auditors, vendors and internal departments to resolve financial queries.
• Monitor compliance with GST filings, taxation rules and internal control procedures.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and general ledger management.
• Attention to detail, numerical aptitude and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for interaction with internal teams, vendors and auditors.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP or retail‑specific financial systems (advantageous).
• Active knowledge of GST filing and Indian taxation.
