Accountant

About the role

Style PLUS is seeking a full‑time Accountant to support its expanding retail operations in Thiruvananthapuram. The role is on‑site and involves managing day‑to‑day accounting activities for a multi‑brand fashion and lifestyle store.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions, maintain general ledgers and post journal entries.
• Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare invoices, monitor vendor payments and assist with payroll entries.
• Produce financial reports, balance sheets, income statements, cash‑flow statements and variance analyses.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and compliance with Indian accounting standards, GST and other tax regulations.
• Collaborate with store operations, procurement and management teams to provide accurate financial data.
• Assist internal and external audits and contribute to financial planning for the expanding business.

Required profile

• Strong core accounting skills including ledger management, journal posting, bank reconciliation, AP/AR handling.
• Experience in financial reporting and analysis (balance sheets, P&L, cash flow, variance analysis).
• Proficiency with accounting software (Tally or other ERP systems) and advanced MS Excel.
• Good knowledge of Indian taxation, GST and regulatory compliance for retail.
• Attention to detail, numerical accuracy and strong organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field; professional certifications such as CA Inter are a plus.
