About the role
The Turbine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of steam, gas or industrial turbines in power plants and steel manufacturing facilities. The role ensures continuous power generation while managing high‑temperature and high‑pressure equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Start‑up, shut‑down and regulate turbine speed, pressure, temperature and generator output.
- Monitor gauges, meters and digital control systems (DCS) to track performance and detect abnormalities.
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of turbine and auxiliary systems.
Required profile
- Work experience of 2 to 8 years in turbine operation or similar control‑room environments.
- Ability to work in high‑pressure, high‑temperature settings and follow strict safety procedures.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
- Knowledge of turbine operation, monitoring and maintenance procedures.
