About the role

The Tax Transformation Lead will drive the organization’s tax and finance transformation agenda, focusing on process design, automation, and digital innovation. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures that tax processes are robust, compliant, and aligned with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of end‑to‑end tax processes.
• Design, develop, and monitor finance controls to mitigate risk throughout the tax lifecycle.
• Champion standardisation, simplification, and audit‑readiness initiatives.
• Provide expert guidance on direct‑tax automation, leveraging AI‑driven solutions.
• Act as subject‑matter expert to steer automation projects and ensure tax technical rigor.
• Stay current with tax legislation and digital trends to keep the automation journey compliant and future‑ready.
• Drive adoption of digital tools, intelligent automation, and AI across the tax function.
• Lead the MDT digital transformation roadmap, identifying digitisation opportunities.
• Foster a culture of digital innovation, up‑skill teams, and embed a data‑driven mindset.
• Ensure seamless delivery of tax transformation projects, meeting milestones and realising benefits.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in finance or tax roles, with a strong focus on process excellence and digital transformation.
• Degree in Finance, Accountancy or Chartered Accountant qualification.
• Proven track record leading complex finance processes and large‑scale projects.
• Expertise in ERP systems, external tax tools and AI‑enabled technologies.
• Direct corporate tax experience and solid understanding of international tax compliance.
• Hands‑on tax technical expertise combined with automation exposure.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement process controls using digital solutions.
• Digitally savvy with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
