Financial Analyst – Cost Accounting Solutions

About the role

Flex is a diversified manufacturing partner that helps leading brands design, build and deliver innovative products. The Financial Analyst – Cost Accounting Solutions will support the Chennai team by ensuring accurate cost accounting, variance analysis and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform periodic review of Profit & Loss accounts to verify postings follow defined policies.
• Compare actual results with forecasts/quotes, research variances and post required adjustments.
• Collect business reasons for remaining variances and report them appropriately.
• Reconcile scoped balance‑sheet accounts with sub‑ledgers or manual schedules and address any differences.
• Review accounts regularly to identify potential risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Plan and execute book‑close and reporting activities with accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to prepare forecasts and budgets for assigned accounts.
• Work with Operations to improve business and operational metrics.
• Maintain familiarity with accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements as outlined in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS.

Required profile

• Degree in commerce or accounting (B.Com, B.C.S, M.Com, MBA, BBA, BBM or equivalent).
• 3–4 years of relevant financial or cost‑accounting experience.
• Professional certification preferred (CPA, CFP, CMA, APICS, CA, CGA).
• Willingness to work night shift (5 PM – 2 AM).
