About the role
The Steward will work on‑site at The Shalimar Hotel, supporting the Food & Beverage team by maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and service areas. This full‑time position ensures that all equipment, utensils and service stations are ready for smooth guest service.
Key responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glassware, cutlery and kitchen equipment following hygiene standards.
- Clean and sanitize work surfaces, cooking appliances and food‑service areas.
- Organise and stock utensils, crockery and cutlery at service stations.
- Dispose of waste according to hotel policies and environmental guidelines.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required.
- Follow safety, sanitation and training procedures at all times.
Required profile
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food‑service operations in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume kitchen.
- Physical stamina and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
Required skills
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
