Restaurant Captain – Front‑of‑House Leader

About the role

The Restaurant Captain is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Mumbai, responsible for leading the front‑of‑house team across CHPL’s dining concepts. You will ensure smooth, courteous service, uphold brand standards, and create memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the front‑of‑house team, conducting pre‑service briefings and ongoing coaching.
• Oversee daily service operations including table allocation, order taking, and coordination with kitchen and bar.
• Perform service quality checks, monitor food and beverage presentation, and enforce hygiene and safety standards.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a guest‑first mindset.
• Drive upselling and special promotions while maintaining accurate billing.
• Assist in training new team members and reinforcing menu, pairing, and service standards.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience leading front‑of‑house teams in premium or fine‑dining environments.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to handle issues quickly and courteously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional appearance.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Diploma or certification in Hotel Management or equivalent practical experience.
