Sr. Manager, Sales Development

About the role

Databricks operates at the leading edge of the Data and AI space with a mission to help companies solve the world's toughest problems. We are seeking an experienced strategic sales leader to lead our Bangalore‑based Business Development teams and expand our business across India. Reporting to the Director, Sales Development, you will contribute to the sales leadership team by building and executing pipeline generation and consumption growth strategies while coaching and developing team members.

Key responsibilities

• Take the primary leadership role in developing an outstanding team.
• Support and shape the strategy for pipeline generation within India in collaboration with the India Leadership team.
• Create innovative strategies to accelerate new customer acquisition and consumption growth.
• Manage your team's pipeline target and actively coach team members to be successful.
• Work with cross‑functional regional leaders to maximise the contribution of the team.
• Analyze team performance and funnel data to identify and fix inefficiencies.
• Adopt and implement AI strategy for pipeline generation and daily workflows of your team.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑4 years experience as a Sales Development manager with consistent overachievement against quota.
• Experience in a quota‑carrying, end‑to‑end sales role with consistent overachievement against quota.
• Experience in developing top talent.
• Experience in leading through change.
• Proficiency in using Salesforce and Outreach.io; additional experience with AI tools is advantageous.
• Experienced in sales processes focused on value selling, prospecting and opportunity qualification.
• Ability to adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
• Passion for cloud, big data and AI.
