Software Product Testing Engineer

About the role

Datamaze, an AI, data and analytics consulting company, is looking for a detail-oriented Software Product Testing Engineer to join its team in Hyderabad, India or Dubai, UAE. You will help ensure the quality, reliability and performance of the company's software products by designing and running comprehensive testing strategies, working closely with developers, product managers and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, document and implement test strategies, plans and cases aligned with business requirements
• Perform manual testing to find bugs, usability issues and performance bottlenecks
• Design and maintain automated test scripts with tools such as Selenium, Appium or similar frameworks
• Run regression testing so updates do not introduce new issues
• Log and track defects in Jira, Bugzilla or similar tools and follow up on their resolution
• Evaluate performance under different conditions with tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner
• Work with development teams to give feedback on design and user experience
• Set up and maintain test environments and write test plans, cases and reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance or a related role
• Experience testing web, API and mobile applications
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and how testing fits into development workflows
• Attention to detail, strong communication and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Testing methodologies (Black Box, White Box, Functional, Non-Functional)
• Automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG
• Performance tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner
• Test case and defect tracking tools such as Jira, TestRail
• Basic programming in Python, Java or JavaScript; Git; Agile/Scrum
