Software Engineer (Mid-Level) - Full Stack

About the role

Datamaze, an AI, data and analytics consulting firm, is looking for a mid-level Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain high-quality web applications. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions, and offers the chance to grow your skills, contribute to impactful projects and mentor junior developers. The position is based in Hyderabad, India or Dubai, UAE, on a full-time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scalable, maintainable full-stack web applications, including front-end and back-end components.
• Write clean, efficient and reusable code following best practices.
• Work with UI/UX designers, product managers and other developers to define technical requirements and deliver good user experiences.
• Test applications thoroughly and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Integrate third-party APIs, libraries and tools into existing applications.
• Take part in peer code reviews and keep technical documentation up to date.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and adopt new techniques.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in full-stack development or a similar role.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work in a team and mentor junior developers.

Required skills

• Front-end: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and frameworks such as React.js, Angular or Vue.js.
• Back-end: Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java or equivalent frameworks.
• Databases: SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• DevOps tools: Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Version control with Git; cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) are a plus.
