Shift Engineer – Maintenance

About the role

Autoliv is seeking a Shift Engineer – Maintenance to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of production equipment in its automotive manufacturing environment. The role combines preventive and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis and support for continuous‑improvement initiatives on a shift basis.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, restore production safely and efficiently, and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Inspect, test and maintain tools, utilities and facility systems.
• Support installation, commissioning and validation of new machinery and production lines.
• Monitor equipment performance, identify reliability improvements and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality and EHS teams to minimise downtime.
• Manage maintenance tools, consumables and critical spare parts.
• Contribute to 5S, lean manufacturing and equipment optimisation activities.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
• Ability to work on a shift schedule in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and attention to safety standards.
• Effective teamwork and communication with cross‑functional departments.
