Store Assistant – Manufacturing (Transformer)

About the role

EVR Electricals Private Limited is seeking a Store Assistant to support its transformer manufacturing operations in Sriperumbudur, Chennai. The role involves handling raw materials, components, and accessories, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, and issue to production.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming raw materials, components and electrical accessories against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Conduct quantity, identification and condition checks during material receipt.
• Maintain proper material storage, tagging and location‑wise arrangement.
• Issue materials to production and other departments based on approved requests.
• Maintain stock records, inward/outward registers and inventory documentation.
• Support regular physical stock verification and reconciliation.
• Monitor stock levels and inform Stores/Purchase team about shortages, excess or slow‑moving items.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality and Accounts for material‑related requirements.

Required profile

• ITI / Diploma / Any relevant qualification.
• 1–3 years experience in stores, warehouse or inventory, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Good communication and coordination skills, responsible and detail‑oriented.

Required skills

• ERP (experience preferred).
• Inventory management.
