Purchase Executive – Raw Materials & Packing

About the role

Astam Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Purchase Executive to manage the procurement of raw and packing materials for its pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. The role ensures uninterrupted material supply, supports production schedules, and drives cost‑effective sourcing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new vendors and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Verify vendor credentials and monitor market pricing.
• Procure raw and packing materials according to production requirements.
• Maintain supplier records and inventory details.
• Coordinate with Production and Quality teams for timely procurement.
• Monitor stock levels to avoid production delays.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and track deliveries.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of experience in raw material and packing material purchasing within a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit.
• Strong knowledge of procurement and supply‑chain processes.
• Excellent vendor development and negotiation skills.
• Good communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
