Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

ACCIONA Energía is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of wind turbine generators (WTG) and related electrical equipment at a wind farm in Karnataka. The role involves ensuring high availability of assets, coordinating with control centres, and maintaining compliance with engineering standards and ESG criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Execute scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on WTGs and associated electrical gear.
• Prepare daily generation and maintenance reports using both hard‑copy and digital tools.
• Coordinate outage creation with the CECORE control centre for planned and unplanned activities.
• Document work performed, track spare consumption, and log actions with target completion dates.
• Supervise subcontractor operators, security personnel, and newly recruited staff.
• Maintain site office, SCADA room, and tool inventories in good condition.
• Monitor machine performance to achieve at least 99% availability and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
• Assist in sub‑assembly of WEG components at the factory when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance of wind turbines or similar renewable energy assets.
• Strong understanding of HSE, ISO standards and ESG requirements.
• Ability to train and mentor junior engineers, technicians and subcontractors.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work onsite in a wind‑farm environment.
