Senior Buyer – Indirect Procurement

About the role

Interactive Brokers is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead indirect procurement activities across multiple categories such as IT, HR, professional services, transportation, and legal. The role supports the end‑to‑end procure‑to‑pay process, ensuring cost‑effective sourcing while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing projects from market analysis through contract execution and purchase‑order management.
• Conduct supplier risk assessments, due‑diligence, and develop supplier scorecards.
• Drive cost‑saving initiatives and calculate total cost of ownership for goods and services.
• Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve invoice/payment issues with AP and suppliers.
• Maintain vendor catalogs and collaborate with category leaders to keep data current.
• Review and redline contracts and order forms across various procurement categories.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant procurement experience.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and reporting abilities.
• Proven experience in financial analysis and cost‑model development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
