Senior Associate – Credit Analysis (R&A)

About the role

The Senior Associate will work within the Corporate Research & Analysis (R&A) team, focusing on Australian institutional clients. You will manage a portfolio, lead a team of credit analysts, and support end‑to‑end credit management processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and guide a team of specialised credit analysts to deliver high‑quality, time‑sensitive credit analysis and documentation.
• Prepare industry sector reviews, credit memoranda, and risk‑grading assessments for portfolio companies.
• Manage the full credit lifecycle including credit writing, risk analysis, approval, documentation and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
• Liaise with Relationship Managers and Credit teams on risk and financial performance matters.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies, drive efficiency, and escalate issues promptly.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant, MBA Finance, Masters in Economics or equivalent from a premier institution.
• 7‑8 years of experience in credit analysis or research.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and leadership experience.
• Detail‑oriented with a process‑driven mindset.

Required skills

• Strong credit analysis and financial modelling fundamentals.
• Excellent report writing and business acumen.
• Understanding of credit products and risk mitigation.
