Senior Analyst - Analytics & Intelligence

About the role

Roche India's Roche Services & Solutions unit is hiring a Senior Analyst for its Global Analytics and Technology Center of Excellence (GATE), based in Chennai or Hyderabad. You will work closely with the Strategic Analytics & Insights team in the US, Therapy Area Insights Directors, Ecosystem Insights Leads and the wider GATE team, delivering advanced analytics and actionable insights that support strategic priorities for customers and patients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex projects in pharma commercial operations, covering brand performance tracking, disease market overview, patient journeys, forecasting, product launch support, patient adherence, physician/account targeting, payer mix, marketing impact and ROI.
• Work with therapy area managers and ecosystem insights leads to understand market dynamics and customer behaviour, supporting data-driven strategies.
• Manage day-to-day responsibilities, coordinate with the GATE internal team and lead stakeholder discussions, acting as a thought partner and providing high-quality analytics recommendations.
• Create impactful presentations and attend cross-time-zone meetings to deliver analytical and operational requests for business partners.
• Mentor and train junior team members and interns on analytics principles and the pharma domain.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Technology or a related field (Computer Science, Software, Statistics, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Data Engineering preferred); 4-8 years of analytics or consulting experience, with 2-5 years in pharma/biotech/healthcare analytics.
• Master's degree or analytics/data science certification is an advantage.
• Expertise in US pharma commercial operations, with a strong background in sales, claims, product, patient and forecasting/ROI analytics.
• Experience with secondary datasets such as IQVIA sales data, 867 data, LAAD claims, Veeva and medical data is an advantage.
• Exposure to therapeutic areas such as oncology, neurology and immunology, and working knowledge of Salesforce or Veeva, is valuable.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, and proven ability to turn research into clear business narratives.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Excel and SQL.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python, R or SAS.
