Quality Assistant Manager – Automotive

About the role

Bosch Chassis Systems India Ltd is seeking a Quality Assistant Manager to support its expanding portfolio of passive safety and driver assistance products. The role focuses on statistical process control, problem solving, internal audits and data‑driven improvement within the automotive brake‑system division.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) across production lines.
• Conduct problem‑solving activities using methodologies such as 8D and Shainin.
• Perform internal system audits and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Analyse production data to identify improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
• 6‑10 years of experience in automotive part quality.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Familiarity with braking systems for four‑wheel vehicles is desirable.
• Certified IATF auditor or exposure to VDA6.3 audit systems is a plus.

Required skills

• Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Process Capability studies.
• Problem‑solving tools: 8D, Shainin.
• Analytical quality tools and data analysis.
• IATF core tools: PFMEA, Control Plan.
• Understanding of risk‑based thinking and audit procedures.
