Procurement Operations Specialist – Semiconductor Industry

About the role

Tata Electronics is establishing a new Front‑End Semiconductor Fab in Gujarat and a Back‑End Assembly and Test facility in Assam. The Procurement Operations Specialist will manage the end‑to‑end procurement and inventory processes for this greenfield semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders in line with commercial terms, company policies and legal requirements.
• Process inventory and non‑inventory requisitions through the appropriate planning and procurement systems.
• Coordinate with suppliers to confirm pricing, delivery schedules and contractual terms.
• Escalate supplier issues and work with category managers, logistics, warehousing, accounts payable and legal teams to resolve disputes.
• Ensure timely goods receipt, invoice reconciliation and PO‑to‑Pay cycle compliance.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for procurement processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in high‑value project review meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline).
• Up to 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain or related functions.
• Strong understanding of procure‑to‑pay processes and supplier management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
