Payments Manager – Merchant Acquiring

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its QR acquiring business and is looking for a Payments Manager to build and lead the operation in the Delhi‑Pitampura territory. You will be responsible for creating a high‑performing team, driving QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments, and growing transaction volume and GMV.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate a Field Operations Sales (FOS) team.
• Manage FOS productivity and ensure rigorous performance tracking.
• Acquire new merchants and drive QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments.
• Develop relationships with key decision‑makers for business development.
• Map FOS coverage, manage channel relationships and ensure proper distribution.
• Drive sales targets, retailer payment reconciliation and store activation initiatives.
• Collaborate with partners on sales promotions and maintain process controllership.

Required profile

• Graduation or MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience in payments, FMCG or telecom prepaid sales.
• Prior exposure to merchant acquisition and QR/POS deployments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to handle merchant relationships directly.
• High energy, self‑starter attitude with a passion for field work.
