Junior Welding Engineer – TIG & Orbital Welding

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Welding Engineer to join our Multi‑modal Manufacturing Facility in Pune. The role focuses on TIG and orbital welding of stainless steel and Inconel components for aerospace applications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding of tubes, air manifolds, sheet metal parts and ducts using SS321 and Inconel 625.
• Execute orbital welding and repair of defective stainless steel and Inconel castings.
• Interpret engineering drawings, SOPs, manuals and MOS to produce finished products.
• Assemble welded components and ensure compliance with X‑ray quality Class B weld standards.
• Operate welding equipment and accessories such as positioners, bevellers, rollers and 3‑D welding tables.

Required profile

• Diploma with minimum 2.5 years of welding and fabrication experience.
• Certified in AWS D17.1 6G welding for II A & III B materials.
• Demonstrated ability to produce X‑ray quality Class B welds on SS321 and Inconel 625.
• Strong personal integrity and safety mindset.
• Experience in aerospace or aviation manufacturing preferred.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and SOPs.
• Use of welding positioners, bevellers, rollers and 3‑D welding tables.
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
