Junior Engineer – Quality (CMM Programming)

About the role

The Junior Engineer – Quality will help build and continuously improve quality systems in line with AS 9100‑D and GE's internal QMS. You will own key quality deliverables such as CMM measurement, manual inspection analysis, and certification of aviation hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Program CMM machines (Zeiss ACCURA, CONTURA, DURAMAX) using Calypso software based on customer drawings and QMS requirements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production and quality teams to develop accurate CMM programs for various machining operations.
• Apply ASME Y14.5 GD&T principles to aerospace components during programming.
• Participate in cross‑functional quality cells (FPI, FI, FAI, DSQR) and support HPT teams on yield improvement, EHS and process projects.
• Drive continual improvement through audits, non‑conformance handling, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain awareness of the latest inspection techniques and provide training to shop floor, design and manufacturing teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years hands‑on experience in CMM programming with Zeiss machines and Calypso software.
• Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile or Production engineering.
• Strong understanding of ASME Y14.5 and GD&T for aerospace applications.
