Indirect Finance Analyst – Global Business Services

About the role

The Indirect Finance Analyst will support internal and external North America clients from BASF's new Global Hub in India. You will ensure accurate invoicing, credit note processing, and timely resolution of balance discrepancies while driving automation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Execute medium‑complexity finance activities for indirect cost companies.
• Maintain high‑quality, timely services in line with BASF policies, legal and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and propose process improvements across the end‑to‑end workflow.
• Support audit activities (internal and external) and contribute to small‑scale projects.
• Assist in onboarding new income streams by sharing knowledge with the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, administration or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a Global Business Services or Shared Services environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural, fast‑paced global setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Familiarity with ERP/HCM systems, preferably SAP.
