Head of Project Management Office (PMO) – Data Centre

About the role

The Head of the Project Management Office (PMO) will lead the design, set‑up and operation of the PMO for large‑scale data centre construction projects. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and establish a PMO capable of delivering complex data centre projects.
• Define and enforce project management standards and methodologies.
• Prioritise projects and communicate priorities across the organisation.
• Align project objectives with corporate strategy and oversee strategic planning and governance.
• Implement efficiency measures to meet financial targets set at project initiation.
• Collaborate with the executive team to evaluate high‑value proposals.
• Manage stakeholder communication from project initiation through to closure.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, client requirements and regulatory standards.
• Develop and monitor performance measurement systems and processes.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, addressing issues proactively.
• Research and adopt leading project management tools and practices, closing gaps in current processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a PMO or equivalent function in large infrastructure or data centre projects.
• Strong strategic planning and governance expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder environments.
• Track record of delivering projects within budget and schedule constraints.
• Excellent risk management and problem‑solving capabilities.
