GIS Consultant – French Language

About the role

WSP is looking for an enthusiastic GIS Consultant who can support environmental investigations across contaminated lands, ecology, archaeology and Indigenous relations. The role involves practical GIS work, data management and map production while working under the guidance of senior GIS staff.

Key responsibilities

• Plot, edit and analyse spatial data using ArcGIS Pro and the broader ArcGIS Suite.
• Create maps, drawings, figures, charts and presentation posters for proposals and reports.
• Conduct 2D and 3D GIS analysis, manage files and databases, capture spatial data and perform georeferencing.
• Convert GIS data between multiple file formats and maintain web‑GIS datasets in ArcGIS Online/Enterprise.
• Collaborate with colleagues across WSP offices, review work with senior GIS personnel and ensure compliance with WSP Canada standards and provincial regulations.
• Perform quality reviews, maintain directory structures and identify improvements to GIS services.
• Provide regular status updates, manage health & safety requirements and stay current with GIS technology developments.

Required profile

• Practical experience with GIS and a strong interest in GIS technologies.
• Ability to work under supervision of intermediate and senior GIS staff.

• Commitment to health and safety standards.

• Field Maps and Survey123 for field data collection.
• Spatial analysis, digitising, georeferencing and coordinate system conversion.
• 2D/3D GIS data handling and file format conversion.
• Database and file‑management in both desktop and web environments.
• Basic data entry and routine calculations.
