Ecology & Biodiversity Functional Area Expert (NABET Accredited)

About the role

The Ecology & Biodiversity Functional Area Expert (FAE) will lead the planning, supervision and technical validation of ecological and biodiversity components within EIA/EMP studies. This role ensures that baseline assessments, impact analyses and mitigation measures are robust, scientifically sound and aligned with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, review and technically validate ecological and biodiversity sections of EIA/EMP reports.
• Conduct baseline assessments, ecological surveys, impact quantification, biodiversity evaluation and design mitigation and conservation plans.
• Coordinate with other FAEs, EIA coordinators, field survey teams, GIS specialists and laboratories to integrate ecological data into overall project assessments.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Wildlife Science, Zoology, Botany, Life Sciences, Forestry or a related discipline, meeting NABET criteria.
• Readiness to join immediately is preferred.

Required skills

• GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for spatial analysis.
• Spatial Ecology knowledge for mapping and interpreting ecological data.
