Senior Environmental Manager (EIA)

About the role

Assystem is seeking an experienced senior professional to lead environmental impact assessment (EIA) projects for ports, highways and industrial area developments. The role involves client coordination, project management and delivering high‑quality environmental documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients and lead multidisciplinary teams for EIA projects.
• Prepare, review and present EIA reports, studies and presentations.
• Conduct stakeholder consultations and liaise with statutory authorities.
• Obtain environmental, CRZ, forest and wildlife clearances for infrastructure projects.
• Travel to project sites and lead meetings with regulatory bodies.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience conducting Environmental Impact Assessments in ports, highways or industrial area sectors.
• In‑depth knowledge of national and international environmental regulations and guidelines (World Bank, ADB, etc.).
• Proven track record of securing environmental, CRZ, forest and wildlife clearances.
• Ability to manage client relationships, lead teams and handle stakeholder engagements.
• PhD, M.Sc or M.Tech in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.

Required skills

• NABET‑approved Environmental Coordinator (Category A) for ports/highways/industrial areas.
• NABET‑approved Functional Area Expert (Category A) in EB/SC/LU/SE/SHW.
