Environmental & Social Expert – Hydropower & Pumped Storage

About the role

The Environmental & Social Expert will ensure compliance with environmental clearances, statutory approvals and social safeguard requirements for a pumped storage project in Uttar Pradesh. You will lead the implementation of the Environmental and Social Management Plan, coordinate monitoring activities and engage with communities and authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor implementation of the Environmental Management Plan and related mitigation measures.
• Supervise environmental monitoring, waste management and compliance reporting.
• Coordinate with statutory agencies, address community issues and oversee CSR activities.
• Support land acquisition, resettlement and rehabilitation processes and prepare environmental reports.

Required profile

• Graduate in Civil Engineering or M.Sc. in Environmental Science.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in hydropower or pumped‑storage projects.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Panaura, Uttar Pradesh, India.
