Engineer – Wastewater Modelling (InfoWorks ICM)

About the role

Join AECOM’s Enterprise Capabilities team as an Engineer focused on wastewater modelling using InfoWorks ICM. You will work on diverse projects across the UK, US, Middle East and ANZ regions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and calibrate hydraulic models for CSOs, pump stations, treatment works and flood mitigation schemes.
• Mentor junior modellers, review their work and deliver training on modelling concepts.
• Lead project execution, coordinate with Lead Offices and manage resources to meet quality standards.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews, troubleshoot and enhance models for accuracy and performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including GIS specialists and project managers.
• Support bid preparation and program management to drive business growth.

Required profile

• Master of Engineering (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (e.g., ICE, CIWEM) or Professional Engineer license, or working towards chartership.
• 3–6 years of experience on international wastewater modelling projects.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modelling of foul and storm sewers using InfoWorks ICM, SewerGEMS or PCSWMM.
• Hands‑on experience with ArcGIS/ArcGIS Pro and MapInfo for spatial data integration.
• Familiarity with RTC, Ruby, SQL and automation tools for model enhancement.
• Experience in asset scoping for manholes, flow monitors and depth monitors.
