General Manager – Lab Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead end‑to‑end laboratory construction projects. The role involves overseeing civil, MEP, HVAC, gas distribution and cleanroom installations, ensuring delivery from design through handover.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the full lifecycle of lab construction, including civil works, MEP, HVAC zoning, gas distribution and cleanroom fit‑outs.
• Ensure layouts optimise workflow and comply with GLP, ISO, NABL and FDA standards.
• Source and negotiate with contractors, manage techno‑commercial terms and keep projects within budget.
• Lead cross‑functional site teams and act as the primary liaison for all stakeholders.
• Monitor project schedules, quality and safety, delivering on time and to specification.

Required profile

• 12–18 years of experience in laboratory set‑up, turnkey cleanrooms or pharma infrastructure engineering.
• B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical engineering.
• Proven track record of delivering large‑scale lab projects on time and within budget.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capabilities.
