Finance Accountant – Automation-Focused Role

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Accountant to own recurring finance operations for a Dutch client within a highly automated, standardized model. Based in India, you will work closely with senior accountants and a team lead, delivering weekly processing and month‑end close activities while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Weekly activities: accounts payable processing, accounts receivable processing, bank reconciliations, payment service provider reconciliations, exception handling and query resolution, monitoring incoming documents.
• Monthly activities: month‑end close preparation, balance‑sheet reconciliations, suspense account review, accruals and prepayments, management reporting preparation, supporting review and sign‑off cycle.
• Quality and continuous improvement: follow internal checklists, maintain documentation, identify automation opportunities, provide backup coverage.
• Client onboarding projects: clean‑up of records, historical corrections, workflow and automation setup, first‑month go‑live support.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of hands‑on finance/accounting operations experience.
• B.Com or M.Com (qualified or semi‑qualified accountant acceptable).
• Strong grounding in full‑cycle bookkeeping, AP/AR, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Experience with European or US/UK finance operations is a plus.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Detail‑oriented, process‑driven with ownership mindset.
