Estimation Manager

About the role

The Estimation Manager will lead cost estimation activities for high‑voltage transmission projects, ensuring accurate pricing and supporting business development across substation and line contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with Centre of Excellence, engineering and project teams to gather technical details and Bill of Quantities.
• Prepare, review and validate cost estimates for 765kV‑132kV AIS/GIS substations, transmission lines, transformers and reactors.
• Develop cost models for major items (transformers, towers, conductors) using standard templates.
• Manage EPC enquiries at bid stage and facilitate technical discussions with internal stakeholders.
• Support business development by delivering bid cost packages and performing IEEMA price‑variation calculations.
• Provide market intelligence, support M&A techno‑commercial assessments, and drive efficiency improvements in estimation processes.
• Maintain and update standard cost templates, compare estimates with actual procurement, and suggest template enhancements.
• Mentor junior team members, resolve conflicts, and ensure effective communication with all parties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in cost estimation, purchasing or commodity management.
• Proven experience with high‑voltage transmission projects.
