Director - Solutions Engineering, India

About the role

Trellix, a global cybersecurity company, is looking for a Director of Solutions Engineering for India, reporting to the APJ Solutions Engineering Leader. The role leads the India SE organization in line with the company's go-to-market strategy, covering technical excellence, solution outcomes and enablement for customers and channel partners, as well as field readiness, operational excellence and metrics and OKR management.

Key responsibilities

• Set and execute India SE strategy in line with the broader APAC go-to-market and customer strategy, fostering a positive, open and high-performing culture.
• Maintain active communication with global Sales and SE leadership on pipeline forecasts, activity results and corrective actions.
• Act as the motivational voice of the APAC region, especially during periods of growth and transformation.
• Share market, customer and partner insights, technical feedback, new use cases and product roadmap suggestions with Product Management, Product Engineering, Marketing and Services.
• Influence sales pipelines for net-new deals and account expansion, using SE teams, tools and performance data to manage productivity and operational effectiveness.
• Work with regional SE direct reports and partners to shorten the sales cycle, supporting and closing opportunities while keeping partners technically enabled.
• Engage directly with key APAC customers, delivering or co-delivering presentations and positioning the value of Trellix's portfolio and roadmap.

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years leading regional APAC enterprise SaaS sales engineering teams of at least 20 people in a blended direct and indirect sales model.
• Proven track record of building teams, including talent assessment, acquisition, performance management and succession planning.
• Experience influencing pipelines and sales cycles, and consultative solution selling of SaaS, enterprise-grade integrated solutions or platforms.
• Cybersecurity software experience is highly preferred but not required.
• Ability to influence senior internal and external decision-makers, including Product Management, Product Development and Marketing.
• Multi-lingual communication skills preferred but not mandatory.
• Willingness to travel overnight approximately 50% of the time.
