Consultant General Physician (MD/DNB) – Tirupur

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant General Physician to join our multi‑speciality hospital in Tirupur. The role involves managing both outpatient and inpatient services, handling emergencies, and collaborating with a wide range of specialists to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct General Medicine OPD consultations and manage IPD patients.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, infections, and respiratory disorders.
• Provide timely stabilization for medical emergencies and participate in on‑call duties.
• Perform regular inpatient rounds, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans.
• Interpret laboratory results, ECGs, and other diagnostics to guide therapy.
• Manage post‑operative and critically ill patients, including pre‑operative evaluations.
• Coordinate care with cardiologists, neurologists, surgeons, intensivists, and other specialists.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, lifestyle changes, and follow‑up.
• Maintain accurate medical records, prescriptions, and discharge summaries.

Required profile

• MD or DNB in General Medicine with valid NMC/Tamil Nadu Medical Council registration.
• Experienced candidates preferred, especially those with strong OPD, IPD, and emergency medicine exposure.
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
• Professional, ethical, and patient‑centred approach.
