Construction Manager / Project / Site Engineer (Heritage Restoration)

About the role

We are a heritage restoration and conservation firm seeking a Construction Manager / Project / Site Engineer to lead the implementation of heritage projects across multiple locations. The role is based in Shimla and involves on‑site supervision, planning, and coordination of restoration, repair, and retrofitting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of heritage projects, from planning and scheduling to procurement and execution.
• Prepare work plans, schedules, and resource mobilization for manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Ensure timely execution of activities in line with the project plan, maintaining quality, time, and budget targets.
• Supervise repair and reconstruction work, conduct daily quality checks, and coordinate with local and external trades (carpenter, mason, electrician, plumber, fabricator).
• Prepare and submit monthly bills with supporting documentation, maintain inventory checklists, and report construction progress.
• Collaborate with accountants, clients, PMC, and consultants to ensure smooth project delivery.

Required profile

• B.E. in Civil Engineering or M.Arch in Conservation (or equivalent technical knowledge).
• 2‑6 years of experience managing construction sites, preferably on heritage projects.
• Strong understanding of BOQ, work methodology, and ability to work independently while being team‑oriented.
• Willingness to travel and relocate as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with CAD software.

What we offer

• Salary range of ₹30,000 – ₹45,000 per month, based on experience.
