Finishing Engineer – Premium Residential Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Finishing Engineer to lead all finishing activities for Taradevi's Enclave, our flagship residential development in New Shimla. This hands‑on, on‑site position ensures that every surface and detail meets premium quality standards despite the challenges of hill‑terrain construction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and execute plastering, POP/gypsum, painting, tiling, stone and wood flooring, waterproofing, false ceilings, joinery, doors, windows and sanitary fittings.
• Maintain finish quality against premium specifications, conduct rigorous quality checks and manage snagging to achieve a clean handover.
• Interpret architectural and GFC drawings, identify clashes early and coordinate with civil, MEP and façade teams.
• Manage finishing contractors and vendors, overseeing manpower, daily progress and workmanship quality.
• Track material requirements, support BOQ preparation, indenting and waste control for finishing items.
• Verify contractor measurements and assist with billing for finishing works.
• Enforce site safety, housekeeping and protection of completed finishes.
• Maintain progress records and report status against schedule to the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years supervising finishing works on residential or hospitality projects, preferably premium or high‑specification.
• Strong knowledge of finishing materials, methods and quality standards, including waterproofing and stone/wood flooring.
• Ability to read and translate architectural drawings into site execution.
• High eye for finish standards and the temperament to enforce them with contractors.
• Working knowledge of quantities, measurement and contractor billing for finishing items.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site in Shimla, including hill/slope terrain.
