About the role
We are looking for a motivated Commis Chef specialized in South Indian cuisine to join our kitchen team at Hyatt Place Goa Candolim. The role involves preparing high‑quality dishes while maintaining the service standards of Hyatt International. You will work closely with senior chefs to ensure consistent, delicious food for our guests.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook South Indian menu items according to standardized recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all kitchen areas.
- Assist senior chefs with mise en place and ingredient preparation.
- Ensure timely service and presentation of dishes.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages.
Required profile
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Commis Chef (South Indian) or 2 years as an apprentice in a reputable hotel or restaurant.
- Strong understanding of basic culinary techniques.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
