Guest Service Associate - F&B Service

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Guest Service Associate to join our food and beverage team at our Chennai hotel. In this position you will be the face of the F&B operation, delivering warm, professional service that creates memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Greet, seat and attend to guests throughout their dining experience, ensuring a high level of hospitality.
• Take accurate orders, provide menu recommendations and accommodate dietary preferences.
• Serve food and beverages according to brand standards, ensuring proper presentation and timing.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, respond to requests and resolve complaints promptly and courteously.
• Maintain clean, organized dining areas before, during and after service.
• Assist in training new team members and support inventory management by tracking supplies.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene and health‑safety protocols at all times.

Required profile

• Service‑focused personality with a genuine passion for food, beverage and guest interaction.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage guests professionally.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Reliability, punctuality and a positive, collaborative attitude.
• Previous experience in food and beverage service or hospitality (preferred).
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (or willingness to obtain certification).
• Understanding of menu items, ingredients and beverage offerings (training provided).
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, carry trays and perform repetitive tasks.
