Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

As a Buyer you will be responsible for procuring the materials, equipment and services needed for project and operational execution. You will negotiate contracts, manage commercial terms and ensure timely delivery to support project schedules and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with project requirements, timelines and budgets.
• Source and evaluate suppliers according to strategic sourcing guidelines, ensuring quality, cost and delivery standards.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, collaborating with the Category Management team as needed.
• Issue and manage purchase orders, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance with specifications and company policies.
• Control costs by aligning procurement activities with budget constraints and identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
• Ensure all procurement actions comply with industry regulations, company policies and safety standards.
• Provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders on procurement status, risks and mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, business administration or a related field.
• Proven procurement experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with procurement software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
