Bench Director of Finance

About the role

The Bench Director of Finance will act as the strategic financial leader for the property, shaping and executing finance-wide strategies that support the brand’s service objectives and maximise return on investment. Reporting to senior management, the role combines financial expertise with business acumen to drive profitable growth and ensure robust accounting controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic financial planning, analysing market trends and financial data to inform decision-making.
• Develop, monitor and adjust annual budgets, sales forecasts and expense projections.
• Identify profit-enhancing opportunities through cost-benefit analysis and new business initiatives.
• Maintain a strong internal control environment, safeguarding assets and managing business risks.
• Oversee accounting operations, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Lead and mentor accounting teams, communicating strategic goals and holding staff accountable for performance.
• Prepare timely financial reports and present insights to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in the same discipline (no experience required).
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex data and forecast financial outcomes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated integrity, honesty and a commitment to sound financial decision-making.
