Assistant Vice President – Commercial Lines

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Vice President to lead our commercial lines business across Bangalore and Delhi. The role focuses on driving growth, profitability and strong partner relationships within the general insurance portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve targeted slip generation, conversion rates and gross written premium (GWP).
• Maintain a healthy combined ratio and meet profitability goals.
• Manage treaty‑going business and ensure a balanced portfolio mix.
• Recruit and develop SME agents and new channel partners.
• Build and nurture relationships with existing channel partners.
• Travel between locations as required and lead a high‑performing team.

Required profile

• Graduate or MBA/PGDM in Marketing or a related field.
• 7‑10+ years of experience in commercial lines of business within the general insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of Property, Marine, Engineering and Liability insurance.
• Detail‑oriented, process‑driven with excellent stakeholder coordination skills.
• Data‑driven mindset.
