Assistant Professor of Computer Science (M.Tech & Java)

About the role

FACE Prep is seeking an Assistant Professor of Computer Science to join its Chennai campus. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality instruction in core computer‑science subjects, with a strong emphasis on Java programming, and mentoring students through labs, projects, and assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, update, and deliver lecture, lab, and tutorial sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
• Develop curriculum materials, syllabi, learning outcomes, and assessment methods aligned with industry needs.
• Guide students on Java coding best practices, problem‑solving, and data‑science concepts.
• Collaborate with academic and training teams to ensure curriculum relevance and support placement‑focused training modules.
• Provide academic counseling, address student queries, and participate in workshops, bootcamps, and other academic events.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Computer Science with the ability to teach core subjects effectively.
• M.Tech or equivalent postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
• Prior teaching or training experience, preferably with tech‑focused cohorts.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and learner‑centric mentoring skills.
• Interest in continuous professional development and staying current with emerging technologies.
